One of the things I really wanted to do on this trip was go on the whale watching tour in Maui.
I’ve gone on whale watching tours before in New England, but that was a really long time ago and I kept hearing how great the whale sighting are in Maui – one of the best spots in the world to see these giant sea creatures.
Every year, the humpback whales migrate to the warmer water to mate and give birth before heading back out to cooler parts of the world. It’s an incredible journey…
We ended up booking with Makai Adventures and within minutes of boarding the boat, we were treated to our first whale breaching the water! Soon, they were everywhere – flapping their tails, waving their fins and sometimes completely jumping out of the water!
