It was strange seeing Kent Falls in Northwest Connecticut reduced to a tiny trickle of water, but a lack of rain this summer has unfortunately left the state in a bit of a drought. (According to the US Drought Monitor, Connecticut is at a level D2, which is considered severe).
This time of year in Connecticut is just beyond amazing though, even despite the dry conditions. The cool air, combined with the vibrant colors of the leaves changing to red, gold, and yellow, creates the perfect backdrop for getting out and enjoying nature.
