Yesterday, we rented a cabana and spent the day soaking up the sun at the palm tree-lined pool of the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. Since it was a Wednesday, we got to experience their weekly ‘Just the Tip’ pool party, which brought in a DJ and a lively, fun-filled atmosphere that kept the energy high all day long.

While we spent plenty of time splashing around in the pool, having a private, shaded space to retreat to was a game-changer—especially with water misters to keep us cool. Each cabana comes fully equipped with a fridge, a flatscreen TV, a safe to stash your belongings, plush couches for lounging, and, of course, a dedicated server to bring you all the frozen watermelon margaritas and ice-cold Bud Light Lime you could ask for! With the Las Vegas heat soaring over 100 degrees (seriously, it was a scorcher), we made sure to stay hydrated with plenty of bottled water and indulged in some delicious snacks, including seared Ahi tuna and a fresh fruit platter.

My absolute favorite part of the day, aside from lounging in the cabana, was hanging out in the shallow end of the pool and digging my toes into the sand. The texture was so soothing—heavier than typical pool sand, making it easier to clean and less likely to cloud the water. It felt almost like the smooth gravel you’d find in a fish tank, adding a unique touch to the experience.

The DJ kept the vibe upbeat with great music throughout the day, and I even joined in for a few rounds of beach ball, which added to the fun and kept the party spirit alive.

Whether you’re looking to dance to the DJ’s beats or simply chill in the shade with a cocktail in hand, the Hard Rock Hotel pool is the perfect spot to beat the Vegas heat and enjoy an unforgettable day in paradise.
