Going for a walk at night in Puerto Rico introduces a whole new set of sounds that you definitely don’t hear in NYC. One of the most prominent is that of the coquí, a small frog that populates the island and mates at night.
As the coquís look for love, they chirp…they chirp loudly. I made a short recording of the sound on Instagram. There was also a storm brewing and so you can hear some thunder in the background as well. (Note: Clicking on the photo will bring you to my Instagram page where you can watch/listen to the video)
