Wow, I can’t believe another week in Las Vegas has flown by! Every time I visit, I’m amazed at how fast the trip goes!
Here’s a breakdown of the week: Friday and Saturday, JC and I stayed at the M Resort and Casino, where I entered my first video poker tournament and got a crash course in video poker (Double Double Bonus). The tournament took place in two sessions over two days and although I didn’t score as many points as I had hoped, I still walked away with $50 – plus I had fun!
Sunday through today, JC and I headed over to the Hard Rock Resort and Casino, where we stayed in the Paradise Tower. Our room was facing the pool and so we had a partial view of Rehab – the weekly day party that takes place every weekend in the summer.
This trip, we visited the Pinball Hall of Fame (an oldie-but-goodie), indulged on mini cupcakes from Sprinkles, drank frozen margaritas at the Margaritaville Casino, played some table games at Flamingos, browsed the shops along the boulevard, and then closed the trip with a night time ride on the the tallest Ferris Wheel in the world – the High Roller (that’s it in the pic – full post to come)!
We also ate ate out a lot more than we intended to and worked out far less…
For food, we revisited a few of our favorites like Bahama Breeze, Tacos El Gordo, and Off the Strip. We also tried a few new restaurants/cafes like Culinary Dropout, Kona Grill, and BabyCakes.
Ok, now I need to start packing for my flight – see you in Connecticut!
