The windows were icing up before the plane even touched ground at JFK and once we landed, it was easy to see that there was some pretty good ground cover on the landing strip [pics here]. At the airport, there were signs saying that the airtran was not running and so buses would be provided to take passengers to Federal Circle, where shuttles were running to the car rental lots. A bus ride and shuttle trip later, I walked into enterprise to get my car and I realized that I was still carrying my winter coat! Even though the temps were below freezing, my plaid flannel shirt and wool hat, along with my excitement for the week, were enough to keep me warm while making the commute…
The drive from New York to Connecticut had icy roads and poor visibility – thankfully, I made it home safe and sound!
