35 Steaks + Martinis is located inside the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. It is definitely on the pricier side, but the food is delicious, the service is excellent and if you’re looking for a nice dinner then it’s absolutely worth checking out. On the night that we went, there was live music that consisted of a talented musician with a good voice and an acoustic guitar.
Our night of gluttony started with a bottle of Malbec, followed by the following shared appetizers:
- beef tartare made with filet mignon, dijon mustard, capers, and quail egg, served with a side of grilled baguette.
- broiled colossal tiger prawns served with a mango,Thai basil salad gently tossed in a coconut-ginger curry sauce
- lobster bisque made with brandy, cream, and Maine lobster
- traditional Caesar salad prepared with petite romaine lettuce, Grana Padano cheese, focaccia crostini, and a side of anchovies.
For our main meal we had the pan roasted chicken breast and a filet mignon. The chicken consisted of a confit crispy leg wrapped in phyllo dough (reminded me of a Wellington) and was served with a truffled mushroom and cream sauce over pasta (yum!!!). The steak was cooked perfectly and came with a summer vegetable bouquet, over a potato puree with onion confit, and a red wine sauce.
Dessert was creme brulee with almond tuile and a crisp caramel top…
Everything was delicious and I definitely recommend eating here if you’re in the area. Be sure to ask about the Pre Fix, which is available on a separate menu than what they give you when you first sit down…
