“Palm Springs Eternal”
Trina Turk recently brought Palm Springs/SoCal to New York City!
Celebrating her 15th anniversary in business, Turk payed homage to the first retail boutique which opened in Palm Springs. For her spring 2011 collection, Turk displayed swimwear and ready-to-wear clothing in a variety of scenes created throughout the showroom including the pool party, the backgammon game and the lovers’ romp.

As for the clothes – they reflected Turk’s signature prints which have names like “Laguna plaid,” “tiger leaf” and “cactus flowers” and included a wide range of styles from the maxi – dress to tailored pieces and jumpsuits.

Turk took some time to talk with the press about the collection:
“The clothing is something that you would wear if you were in Palm Springs for the weekend. You are going out, lounging poolside, the different activities you do.”
“Generally, our customer is someone optimistic, not afraid of wearing colour.”
