Yesterday, I participated in a STYLEOFF called Project Mannequin hosted by Charlotte Russe. The event gathered some of NY’s top bloggers including Teen Vogue, Page Daily, Micah Jesse, The Daily Fashionista and, yours truly, Social Vixen!

The event, which was streamed live on the Charlotte Russe website, was a madhouse as stylists/bloggers raced to dress their mannequins in just 20 minutes. And there was a catch!

We were each given a scenario for the mannequin we were dressing such as ‘Date Night With the Ex’ or ‘Going to a Movie Premiere’. We then rushed to sort through racks and racks of clothing, from the latest collection, in the CR showroom to pull outfits, shoes and accessories!

Since my ‘scenario’ was ‘Most Likely to Succeed’ I immediately went for a blazer and high waisted, pencil skirt. Since lace is really on trend right now, I added a lace undershirt with a statement necklace. I especially loved this blazer since it had the ruffled top and trimming around the sleeves.

Derek Warburton, aka Derek Fabulous, from DerekLovesShopping.com was the host making sure to let us know how we were doing with time and then reviewing our final look. Basically, he was the Tim Gunn of the night and, as always, he did an amazing job!
