A very proud Gwen Stefani showed off her latest designs from her L.A.M.B. collection at The Lincoln Center during Mercedes – Benz Fashion Week spring 2011.
In a show that was rock concert meets runway, Gwen showed her flair for the dramatic with tribal and dancehall themes all inspired by music.

Models strutted down the runway to a soundtrack which included M.I.A., Sean Paul and a heavy ska and rocksteady influence while attendees included Gwen’s husband Gavin Rossdale, their 2 sons, Mel B., Debbie Harry, Omarion, Christian Siriano and Russell Simmons.
As for the collection – it featured several parachute-style pants and shorts paired with midriff tops in African and tie – dyed prints, punk plaids and accessorized with leopard-print weekend bags, strappy platform heels with braided detailing and bright African-bead necklaces.
Many of the models wore their hair (as did Gwen) in super sweet braids and twists piled high…*
The show ended with Gwen walking the runway with son, Kingston – totally adorable!!!
After the show, Gwen told the press, “I love doing a fashion show. It’s more dramatic, more theatrical. … It’s great.” Adding, “With fashion, I’m now asking if I can play in your house, even though I didn’t grow up in your neighborhood.” [At the end of the show] “I try not to cry. It’s not that I’m so happy or so sad, I think it’s just the natural release.”
