The Fall/Winter 2012 collection draws inspiration from the visual refinement of the Art Deco movement, expressing the elegance and femininity of the season through a creative rhythm of graphic prints and geometrics. Abstract prints of circles and rectangles appear on fluid silhouettes ranging from the clean and sharp to the soft and voluminous, resulting in pieces that are both wearable and distinctive.
A modern blend of forrest green and black is evident throughout the collection, as seen in alpaca and mohair check bouclé coats and skirts, and in the asymmetrical lines and sinuous curves of pleated jersey, silk and wool fluid dresses, often retained at the waist by grosgrain ribbons. Black, white and grey hues merge to create unique designs, such a menswear-inspired macro-chevron print and a tweed woven with paper-like yarn filaments. Structured weaves of wool are combined with raw silk, creating a play of textures and materials that highlights the sartorial tradition the brand is known for. More…
Embellishments of tulle, leather, and touches of sequin embroidery and mink fur heighten the sophistication of each silhouette and emphasize the ultra-feminine qualities which inspired the collection.
