Eco-boutique KAIGHT continues their “boutique within a boutique” series with NYC-based designer Samantha Pleet.
Samantha launched her eponymous collection in 2006, just as Kaight was opening its doors on Orchard Street.
Samantha’s commitment to sustainability through her use of organic materials in her collections, combined with her modern designs and her maintaining her production in NYC make this an ideal partnership.
In addition to featuring Samantha Pleet’s Spring/Summer collection, which is currently available at Kaight, this installation will showcase specialty items, such as the Samantha Pleet x Osborn Shoe collection, select swim and novelty pieces, and a preview of a jewelry collection all set against a background of an urban wilderness.
A film created in collaboration with musicians from Beach House will provide an additional visual element.
The installation opened on April 15, just in time for Earth Day and will remain open for six weeks. Throughout the collaboration, Kaight and Samantha Pleet will be donating a percentage of sales to the Red Cross to aid our friends in Japan.
