Dian Von Furstenberg Spring 2013 was all about an adventure from a far away land.
During the show, Google’s new Glass technology debuted a futuristic blend of exotic travels and the runway models, along with Diane Von Furstenberg, Yvan, and Google co-founder, Sergey Brin, all wore Glass backstage and down the runway, capturing the moment from all angles. Their one-of-a-kind experiences of the show were then edited into a short film, “DVF Through Glass”.
Diane Von Furstenberg wrote the following on her blog following her Spring 2013 presentation at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week: “Under a shimmering sky of mirrored lips, front-row revelers Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, and a DVF-clad Sarah Jessica Parker joined us on our journey from Rome to Marrakesh to Jaipur and beyond. Think tunics over skinny silk faille trousers, a caravan of flowing caftans in terracotta and lilac, turquoise sequins, arabesque inspired color-blocking and necklines cut like Moroccan tile. Pedestal platforms and mosaic lines evoked the architectural marvels that our jet set princess might encounter on her travels. And while two-piece ensembles dominated the day, there were plenty of gowns fit for desert royalty.”
Also at the show? Andy Cohen, who sat next to long time friend Sarah Jessica Parker. Full runway gallery after the jump. [nggallery id=254]
